Lea Cars started in 2002, after I fell in love with and bought the Rolls Royce from Lord Sainsbury. When others had the same reaction to the car and said it would be perfect for weddings, I realised there was a need for a wedding car business that offered something just that bit more special and believed I could provide it.

Having extensively researched other company's offerings and striven to incorporate the best of them all into what became Lea Cars, we then added some extras of our own.

Since late 2002, Lea Cars has provided cars for over 100 weddings, special occasions and corporate journeys for clients. We expanded and completed a major contract in late 2005 and now also provide services to the corporate market on a wider basis throughout the Northwest. As a senior executive of many companies I hope I understand the needs of organisations when it comes to prestige transport for their VIPs.

On a personal note, I have a strong belief in community and the ethical responsibility of business to think of more than just the bottom line. From the beginning of Lea Cars, I determined to give something back by supporting a charity. When a family friend died of cancer several years ago, we learned about Rosemere Cancer Care, the charity that provides a large range of services to cancer sufferers and their families in Preston. Rosemere assists patients and their families both at home and in its centre, helping them cope, beat the disease and maintain the best quality of life possible. Our friend was well-served by them in his last few months, and I shall be forever grateful for that.
